Thomas Shelly, born in Kilkenny, Ireland, 1797: entered 1845; habit, Aug. 21, 1845; professed November 21, 1848; died Oct. 6, 1870.
1845-1851: Farmer.
"Brother James -- Thomas Shelly (Thomas Kelly) Died October 6, 1870. This was a good man in whom was no guile. He entered the community in 1845 at 56, and acted as gardener for many years. Simple, faithful, and regular, he was a model to all. He died fully 77 years old after one year or two in the Infirmary as an invalid."
