THEODOLUS, BROTHER (Francis Barbe -- Died June 25, 1853)

"Brother Theodolus, who was Director and Commissioner in our Orphan asylum in New Orleans, fell asleep in the Lord, on June 25, 1853, at 6:00 in the morning, at the age of 37, after receiving the Sacraments of Penance, holy Eucharist, and Extreme Unction. His funeral was held the same day at 5:00 in the afternoon." August 27, 1853

"Brother Theodolus, (Francis Barbe) Born, France, 1818; entered July 2, 1838; professed August 22, 1843.

"1838 - Refectorian and cellarer at Ste. Croix; 1840 - Baker and cook; 1846 - left for the U.S.; 1847 - steward; sent to Kentucky, where he did everything. 1848 - July, returned to N.D.; steward; refectorian; 1849 - Refectorian, cook at N.D. 1851 - to New Orleans; 1853 - Died, June 25." 1853
