Francisca Bingue, wife of Juan Faisan appears before (Penalver) and states that her husband continually mistreats her, striking her and putting her out of the house saying that he no longer wants to live with her. She asks (Penalver) for a separation.

In accordance with the decree of the bishop, the marriage certificate is to be presented. Fran(cis)co Broutin, as notary, certifies to the signature of Hassett as canon of the Cathedral and Vicar General of the Province of Louisiana. Broutin adds in following notes that he notified Fran(cis)ca Bingue of the decree on the same day and on February 3, 1798 he notified Juan Faisan, who signed the note as Jean Faisans.

Lamare, acting chaplain of the Second Battalion of the Infantry, certifies that the following entry appears in the marriage register for this regiment: On August 11, 1790 in the parish church of St. Luis in New Orleans, the undersigned chaplain of the Second Battalion, by arrangement with Father Simon de Fuentes, (O.F.M.), chaplain of the First Battalion and in the absence of Father Luis Guignes, (O.M.Cap.), assistant pastor, performed the marriage ceremony between Juan Fezan, a native of Peaucvian, Diocese of Lescat in France, son of Guillelino Fezan and Juana Pantague, and Francisca Jacob Here, native of New Orleans, and daughter of Santiago Here and Marta Pedro Pague; Pedro Cutvan and Luis Pinto were witnesses; signed by Father Joseph Maria Valdes, (O.F.M.).

Juan Faisan is to be notified of the presentation of the marriage certificate and is to answer in due manner. Broutin certifies this decree and adds in following notes that he notified Fran(cis)ca Bingue of the decree and notified Juan Faisan who replied that he cites his answer on page two of these proceedings and does not want to make any answer or to sign anything.
