Helfre, of St. John Baptist of the German Coast wishes to marry Ortanza of St. Charles parish. He is the son of Sant(iag)o Helfre and Mariana Ofemane. Ortanza is the daughter of Antonio Ofemane and Mariana Bado. His mother and her father are children of Antonio Ofemane and Magdalena Bernard so they are related in the second degree. His fiancee's father is dead and being poor she is reduced to working for her stepfather Juan Chevre(?). To save his fiancee from disgrace, he asks that his testimony be heard. Quinones acts as notary.
