About the assignment given him in the letter of June 17 about the pew rent of Santiago Libodau, Isabel le Roche, and Maria Isabel De(s)tre(h)an, Castanedo has not fulfilled it because the secretary has not completed the papers.

Quintanilla, pastor of the Cathedral, finds no errors in the accounts which total for the credits 5687 pesos, 1 1/2 reales and for the debits 5177 pesos, 3 reales with a balance in favor of the Cathedral of 509 pesos, 6 1/2 reales.

Ximenez certifies that on December 20, 1798 Ramis, widow of Colonel Gilbert de St. Maxent, Maria Isavel Destrehan and Santiago Libaudais pay what they owed for pew rent. The first was notified on March 2, 1799, the third on November 16 and the second on March 7, 1800.

There follow the accounts from January 1, to December 31, 1799, a list of those who have paid fees for dispensations, those who have rented church property, those who have rented pews, receipts for goods and labor for the church, a list of laborers, a contract proposed for 17 buildings facing Orleans, Real and St. Ana Streets signed by Ilario Boutté.

Vidal and Penalver, having examined the accounts and having verified the entry of 2450 pesos invested in the building of a house with three rooms, and the audit which Quintanilla made, give their approval of the accounts and declare the balance of 509 pesos 6 1/2 reales and the 146 pesos owed for pew rent which makes a total of 655 pesos 6 1/2 reales to be carried over to the new account. Quintero adds that he notified Ramis of the above decree on July 14, 1800.
