Ayscough sends a couple of stories by his mother, Mrs. Brent. She has a literary reputation of over 50 years. In 1909 the Pope conferred on her the Cross of Leo XIII. She is now 83.

It has been some time since they have been in regular communication. He is still as busy as ever. He encloses verses of his which appeared in the "Pall Mall Gazette " (no enclosure).

After a two month trip, Lumain arrived in Cebu on March 18. The bishop was making a Pastoral Visitation and returned to preside at a Diocesan Synod which lasted for a week. For this reason his ordination was transferred to June 10. (He encloses a card in commemoration of his ordination.)

Strong's mother, Mrs. (Robert Louis) Stevenson, asked her to answer Hudson's kind letter. They were waiting for the book, but it has not yet come. Her brother may have it and delayed readdressing it. Strong is an old friend ofCharles (Warren) Stoddard and her son, Austin (Strong), who is a Catholic, chose Stoddard for his godfather.
