Lecroq, C.S.C., J(ohn) M.: Brookland, D(istrict of) C(olumbia)
to Father (Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C.): (Notre Dame, Indiana)

Lecroq was glad to know that his Booklet had been of some use to Hudson. His delay in answering was due to his being on retreat with Faineau in preparation to their profession. He accuses Hudson of indirectly fostering the missionary spirit in him by making him read a life of Theophile Venard. He has done much meditating on this since his return from France. He wants to be a missionary. He thanks Hudson for this. P.S. Delaunay and Faineau send their regards.

(1912)
McKinley, W(illia)m B.: Washington, D(istrict of) C(olumbia)
to Father Daniel E. Hudson, (C.S.C.): Notre Dame, Indiana

McKinley has been informed of Hudson's active interest in the renomination of President (William Howard) Taft, and appreciates his cooperation. Hudson is in a position to render some very timely service. They have every reason to believe that the President will be renominated on the first ballot.
