He sends the documents and asks that Bishop Shahan's letter be returned to Chicago. He is writing Putnam to have them send Hudson his book, "France Herself Again." When he is back, he will send another "Figures de Moines."

 to W. O. Smith and Mr. Mathison:

The above, sent to Dutton, is a sketch by someone for the Milwaukee newspaper with the reference to Major Reed who was chairman of the military commission that assigned the medals. Colonel A. C. Weissert was commander in chief of the Grand Army in 1892 and proposed Dutton as one to have the medal. Lt. Col. J. A. Watraus was retired this year, 1919, or in 1918. He is now at Waupaca, Wisconsin, in charge of the Wisconsin Veterans' Home. (This note is written at the end of the typed article for Smith. At the end of the same article for Mathison is the note by) Dutton: February 18, 1915 Dutton does not know Reed.

Heuser thanks Hudson for the clipping from the London Times about "Pastor Halloft." Heuser prays for the Ave Maria with its Christ-like spirit especially in reference to the things Hudson has said about the unreasonable war-fury.

Booklet containing pictures of Father John M. Feldman, pastor of Sacred Heart Church, 1884-1918 and Father Louis A. Tieman, pastor since 1918. Also, photos of Sacred Heart Church on Marshall Avenue, interior of the church, the Rectory, the school, and the teachers' residence. There is a short history of the church, a clipping from the Catholic Telegraph, and a financial report of the parish.
