Fitzgerald, Percy: (London, England)
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.): (Notre Dame, Indiana)

Fitzgerald is in good health. He sends a powerful bit of verse—"Think—O' Think," which will make some folk a little uncomfortable.

(1923)
Heuser, Father H(erman) J.: Overbook, Penn(sylvani)a
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.): (Notre Dame, Indiana)

Like Hudson Heuser has been ill at intervals, but never long enough to hinder the work of the (Ecclesiastical) Review. He had felt at times that he should give it over to younger hands. His successor must be one who has consistently spiritual views and an academic training, also a recognized literary ability. They admit no lay subscribers to their regular list. He cannot find his perfect man to take his imperfect man's place.

Brent, Charles H.: Buffalo, N(ew) Y(ork)
 to Father ( ) Ronan:

Brent thanks Ronan for his remembrance at Christmas. The friendships cemented in France are no ordinary ones. Brent was in Dunkirk yesterday and thought of Ronan as he passed Ronan's old home. Brent's book remains only in rough draft.
