MacDonald,Father Alex(ander): Antigonish, Nova Scotia
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.): (Notre Dame, Indiana)

MacDonald is convinced that two great Jesuits, Salmeron and Lainez, the Pope's own theologians, gave a wrong direction to Catholic theology on the Mass. Now another Jesuit, Father ( ) de la Taille, S.J., has been raised up by God to restore the traditional teaching. Perhaps Hudson can find space for a paper MacDonald is sending around Corpus Christi.

1926 May 30
Sedgwick, H(enry) D(wight): Assisi, (Italy)
to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C.: (Notre Dame, Indiana)

Sedgwick has just received a clipping from the Ave Maria about his book "Pro Vita Monastica" and also words of Cardinal Newman. They are preparing to celebrate the 700th anniversary of St. Francis' death. Perhaps Hudson has been here and knows the religious devotions of the great Vaulted Tower Church of the mighty Basilica. But still lovelier is the Umbrian plain with its heavenly colors.
