1926 Nov. 6
McNicholas, Archbishop John T.: Cincinnati, (Ohio)
to Father Daniel E. Hudson, (C.S.C.): Notre Dame, Ind(iana)

McNicholas is grateful for Hudson's kind note and the enclosures. He is enclosing (no enclosure) an open letter which Father (Vincent) McNabb, (O.P.) sent for the Rural Life Conference. McNicholas hopes to have McNabb come here. When McNicholas saw McNabb in London, McNabb said he had arrived at a state where he had lost all human respect. McNicholas and Father Vehr recall with pleasure their visit to Notre Dame.

1926 Nov. 16
Thwing, Charles F.: Cleveland, (Ohio)
to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C.: (Notre Dame, Indiana)

It is gracious of Hudson to send this greeting which touches the deep things. It is also kind of the Sisters in charge of Charity Hospital to send to Hudson a copy of an address given so long ago.

1926 Nov. 23
Vickrey, C(harles) V.: New York, (New York)
to Father Daniel E. Hudson, (C.S.C.): Notre Dame, Indiana

Vickrey is again indebted for Hudson's editorial on relief work in the Near East. Last night, Senator (Thomas J.) Walsh spoke at one of the Golden Rule dinners and gave a beautiful and spiritual address. Between Hudson's editorials and speeches like Walsh's problems between the Catholic Near East Relief Association and the other groups working toward the same end can be solved. Vickrey would like to meet Father (Matthew) Walsh and those of the Catholic Welfare Association to avoid any feeling or appearance of competition.
