Since it is impossible to lay hold on the original letter of Mrs. (Robert Louis) Stevenson, in corroboration of her husband's attitude as regards the heroism of Father (Joseph) Damien (deVeuster, SS.CC.), Vanhoutte will gratefully receive the letter photostated as mentioned. Vanhoutte requests that the reproduction be accompanied by a duly certified statement as to fix the value of the document. (Enclosed is) a prayer card for Damien's beatification.
