Chronicles of Notre Dame du Lac
Edward Sorin, CSC -- Translated by John M. Toohey, CSC, 1895
1880
pg 513 Bethlehem, they themselves had been want to find Mary and Joseph
and the Infant; in the same order they intended preaching the
Gospel to the Indian and to the citizen of the New World; in their
deep convictions, Mary was the key to open to all, the mysteries
of the Gospel. How could the Son be reached without speaking of
his Mother? and how could she be made known without being admired
             and praised and loved?
