Papers (1911-1974) including correspondence, telegrams, cards, letters of recommendation, ticket stubs, professional sports contracts, poems, and other documents; printed material (1914-1937) including his high school yearbooks, a college magazine, the Shreveport Social Directory, and news clippings; and photographs (1905-1958) including portraits of Bahan and of his sports teams, his classmates, and his family.
Background
University of Notre Dame student athlete. At Notre Dame, Pete Bahan earned eight letters (three for football, three for basketball, and two for baseball). He served as team captain and quarterback for Knute Rockne, 1918-1919.
