Correspondence of James Armstrong and Marion Attick from 3 December 1922 to 21 October 1926, covering the period before they were married while Armstrong was a student at Notre Dame and then Alumni Secretary and Director of Sports Publicity; an edition of selected letters, "Hopes and Fears: The James E. Armstrong / Marion Attick Armstrong Extant Letters: 1922-26: Organized, Summarized and Excerpted by Brother Philip Armstrong CSC. December 1997" in both paper and digital form; and scrapbooks, letters, photos, clippings, articles, audio tapes, plaques and other memorabilia concerning Armstrong's career and especially his retirement.
