Background
WNDU television, an NBC affiliate, began broadcasting on July 15, 1955. Originally the related AM and FM radio stations also used the WNDU call letters. After 1998, the call letters for the FM radio station changed to WNDV and the call letters for the AM radio station changed to WDND.
