Photocopies of letters written by Foley, most of them addressed to his bishop, 1845-1847; also a biographical precis, and two pages concerning St. Andrew Parish.
Background
Rev. Philip Foley was a Roman Catholic priest who served in Cincinnati at St. John, St. Dominic, and Saints Peter and Paul churches in 1845 and 1846 and in Massillon and Wooster, Ohio, in 1847. In 1848 he served at the Church of Saints Philip and James in Stark County and from 1849 to 1855 at the Church of St. Francis de Sales in Toledo. In 1856-57 he served as pastor of St. Andrew in Milford, Clermont County, Ohio.
