  For this study the Sisters' Survey instrument was translated into French, Flemish, Italian and Japanese and used in all the provinces of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Sr Neal's order.

  Sr Neal was invited by the South African Catholic Education Council to assess the effectiveness of schools run by religious orders in South Africa.

Sr Neal was involved in CMSW's Sister Formation program in the early 1960s - Reports, papers from 1960, 1961 Sister Formation workshops; Everett Curriculum Workshop report; correspondence, notes, papers from 1967, 1968 Sister Formation conferences; completed questionnaires from Sister Formation study on authority and obedience; paper on religious vows.

Sr Neal took active interest in the post Vatican II renewal process. Draft guidelines for experimentation for Sr Neal's order; correspondence, notes, papers from the Loose Association meeting in 1971 (NB: This association would serve as one of the objects of Sr Neal's study in her application of the data collected by the Sisters' Survey); report for Cardinal Antoniutti re renewal in the Los Angeles Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM), 1968; and Selwyn Lectures, New Zealand, 1981.
