The National Committee of the YCS consisted of the National Staff, (outgoing staffers attended, along with their replacements) and the area representatives or their substitutes. Observers also attended. Meetings were held in June and December. The records of the 1957-1964 meetings, including many detailed reports, are in boxes 13 & 14.
In 1963, a new "joint"committee for coordinating activity, composed of two priest, five students,and three staff members, (these numbers fluctuated at later at later meetings) was formed to discuss problems of programming, expansion, and finances. The first of the bi-annual meetings was held September 5, 1963. The records of this committee to 1966 including agendas, minutes, reports and correspondence are in box 15. Box 236 contains copies of some of the mimeographed material generated by these committees, mainly copies of the minutes of the joint committee meetings.
