From the home page you can search all of our public inventories by putting keywords in the search box and pressing the Find button. The search is not case sensitive. You will see the results of your search in a list that consists of lines taken from inventories. The list will consist of lines that contain all of your keywords.
By choosing the links in the right-hand column of our home page, you can find information about the Archives including names and email addresses of archivists; a guide to the Archives with instructions on how to use our finding aids, an introduction to the archives, and specialized finding aids including our calendar, indexes to Notre Dame periodicals, and lists of early Notre Dame teachers and students; lists of university records and other collections with links to finding aids; specialized pages for our photo and audio-visual collections; reference works such as our Directory of Parish Histories, Catholic Newspapers in Microform, Latin Dictionary and Grammar Aid, and links to other repositories and search facilities; access to web pages for Notre Dame's libraries and to the university's home page; and a collection of works concerning the history of the university, The Story of Notre Dame.
