Royal decree (of Charles III of Spain) gives regulations concerning the petitioning for and granting of permits for domestic oratories in the Indies, the Philippines and in the Windward Islands. When there is question of a chapel in rural districts the ordinaries may proceed with the approbation of the vice-patrons.

This is a copy of the original. On the title page and on an extra page there are some depositions concerning the characters of Francisco Durant and Luison Manville who are to be married. Sebastian Arnaut, of New Orleans declares that he knows Durant to be a Christian and single. Andres Normant vouches for the good character and singleness of Durant. Maria Dupart, free negress and Margarita Vellier, another negress declares Luison Manville to be good, Christian and single.
