Decree:
Since Father Josef de Xerez has for confidential reasons gone to Havana (Cuba), Bishop Cirilo has decided that Father Xerez' goods and chattels be sold at public auction. Cirilo commissions Father Ignacio de Olot, pre-secretary to complete the business in the presence of Quinones, notary. He asks the assistance of the Governor-general, (Estevan) Miro in order that he cause the crier to proclaim the sale. Agreed to by Miro--Aug. 14, 1790

Inventory of the goods of Father Josef de Xerez. (Then follows the list of the goods). The making of the inventory was suspended at noon and concluded in the afternoon. Inventory having been made of all the goods this report is concluded until Bishop Cirilo, judge of this case, orders it to be continued.

Auction:
Father de Olot commissioned by Cirilo and being in the house of Father Xerez and in the presence of Quinones proceeded to the sale of the goods in the foregoing inventory. The sale to the highest bidder was announced by the crier. The auction was suspended at noon and concluded in the afternoon.
