Babin of La Fourche wishes to marry Fran(cis)ca Leblanc of the same parish and asks (Penalver) to receive testimony on the following points: Babin is the son of Jose Babin and Osita Leblanc, daughter of Ana Taurois and Santiago Leblanc, son of another Santiago Leblanc and Margarita Landry. Fran(cis)ca Leblanc is the daughter of Isaac Leblanc and Maria Melanson, daughter of Honoret Melanson and Maria Leblanc, daughter of Santiago Leblanc and Margarita Landry. His fiancee is an orphan with no other aid but that of a married brother with whom she lives with her five brothers. Father (Isidro) Quintero states in a note that Babin appeared but does not know how to sign.

Having examined the testimony, Penalver grants the dispensation under the following conditions: They are to make a general confession and two others before the marriage, and fast on all Fridays during two months. Upon fulfillment of these conditions word will be sent to the pastor of La Fourche that he may marry them. Quintero certifies this decree and adds that he notified Babin and that word was sent to the pastor of La Fourche.
