Penalver (y) Cardenas, Luis, Bishop of
father Ramon Palao has asked for permission to go to the City of Mexico in New spain for the time necessary to conclude some business affairs. Penalver grants the permission with this document and certifies to Archbishop (Ildefons Nunez de Haro y Peralta) Alonso Nunez de Aro of Mexico and Bishop (Salvator Bienpica y Sotomayor) Salvador Biempica of Puebla de los Angeles and to the Deans, Councils and Vicars General of the places through which he must pass on his way that Palao is under no interdict, suspension or canonical impediment, that he has always behaved as befits his state. Therefore Penalver asks that they treat him as a son of the Church. This is signed by the bishop and by Father Isidro Quintero as secretary.
