to Bishop (Luis Penalver y Cardenas)

Dumon, a native of St. Malo appeared and stated that he had proved his celibacy before the Vicar General and obtained a license to marry M(ari)a Fran(cis)ca Aucoin, both of this parish but since he is a merchant who earns his living traveling along the river, he asks not to be delayed here and to be dispensed from the two banns.

In the petition of Miguel Dumon, son of Miguel Dumon and Fran(cis)ca Moteller (Metoyer) to be dispensed from two banns in order to be married tomorrow to Maria Fran(cis)ca Aucoin, Penalver grants the dispensation under certain conditions and the license is to be sent to the pastor of the Cathedral chapel.

The pastor of the chapel of the cathedral of New Orleans or the acting pastor will marry at convenient time after the publishing of the three banns with no resulting impediments, Miguel Dumon and Maria Francisca Aucoin, a native of Nantes, the parish of Santa Cruz, having given their mutual consent and having fulfilled in this court all the requirements necessary. Fran(cis)co Broutin acts as a notary.
