Maguire, Irish priest and pastor at La Fourche, states that his people are the poorest in the province. Therefore since the fees are very small, the 30 pesos a month assigned to each religious is not sufficient and Maguire asks that 10 pesos more be added above the 30 given in the Royal order of September 24, 1793, to the Irish priests destined for the missions of the province.
