He is the son of Maria Melanzon and Pedro Brusard, son of Margarita Tibaudeau and Alexandro Brusard son of N. Brusard. His fiancee is a native and resident of the same parish and a daughter of Ana Benoix and Amand Brusard, son of Ana Tibaudeau and Jose Brusard, son of N. Brusard. And Tibaudeau, his fiancee's grandmother and Margarita Tibaudeau, his grandmother were sisters. Escolastica's father is poor and although he has his house and four negroes, he has 8 children.
