Elena is the daughter of Jose Dupuis and Ana Hebert, daughter of Pablo Hebert and Maria Josefa Melanzon. Elena's father is dead, her mother is poor with only a house and several slaves and she has 8 children.

Elena is to be notified by a letter to the pastor of Iberville to make a general confession and perform some work such as washing the church linens. Quintero adds in notes that he notified Zacharias, the pastor of the Cathedral, Antonio Morales, the majordomo, and sent a letter to Father Pedro de S(an) Pablo in charge of the parish of Iberville.
