Lafrance of this parish, appeared and stated that he wished to marry J(ose)pha but there is an impediment. (Hassett) is asked to receive his testimony. He is the son of Estevan Lafrance and Juana Tounoyau. Maria Josepha is the daughter of Sant(iag)o Billau and Maria Juana Lafrance. Estevan, his father and Maria Juana, her mother, are children of Juan Lafrance and Julia Delerine. They are poor. The have lived together for three years as is well known in the lower coast where they live. Lafrance asks for a dispensation.
