Specialized Indexes > Index of Minims, 1910 – 1929

The minims were grade school students, generally aged six through twelve, who lived in St. Edward's Hall. Before 1910 minims are included with the other Notre Dame students in the Index of Early Notre Dame Students, 1849-1912. The Archives has few records of the minims who attended after 1910.  This index is an attempt to compile as comprehensive a list as possible of the minims at Notre Dame from 1910 until the school closed in May 1929. There is good coverage for most years, except for 1921/22, 1922/23, and 1923/24.

Search Index of Minims

Type the words or names that you hope to find in the index. For example, if you want to find index entries containing the names Alfredo and Zubiria, type: Alfredo Zubiria. You can truncate words and include dates. To find minims from Colombia in the 1910s, type Colombia 191. Omit hyphens. To search for everybody in a given academic year, put in both dates with a space between them. For example, to see every minim we have listed for the 1913/1914 academic year, type 1913 1914.
