"We regret to announce the death of Brother Gabriel, a student of the University from 1900-04. For several years he taught at St. Joseph College, Cincinnati, and then at the Catholic Central High School, Fort Wayne. He very early desired to go on the Foreign missions. His wish was gratified a year ago last September, when he left Notre Dame for Dacca, East Bengal, India. He taught there in St. Gregory's High School until his death at the early age of 32 on October 29, 1914. May he rest in peace!" SCHOLASTIC, Jan. 16, 1915
