JEROME, BROTHER (Patrick McCarroll)
"Brother Jerome, (Patrick McCarroll) died here on last Thursday, the 11th instant. (April). He was born in Portland, Wisconsin, in 1856, and joined the Order of the Holy Cross in 1887. Since then he has faithfully observed his vows, and has been held in respectful regard by his associates. Of late years he was Prefect in St. Edward's Hall, and because of his gentle and kindly nature was a great favorite with the boys." SCHOLASTIC, 34:474, 1901
