JOHN BAPTIST, BROTHER (Adam Bredel -- Died June 26, 1926)

(Teacher at Mackinaw, Michigan . . . . . . . . . 1852)

"Brother John Baptist was Irish by birth. Although born a Protestant and belonging to a Protestant family, he never shrank from any duty laid upon him. He had become a model of every virtue, especially patience. He was taken down with consumption, and in his long and painful illness he was never known to complain or murmur. He died, October 13, 1846, at the age of 35 years. His death must indeed have been precious in the sight of God. Ever since his conversion and especially after his entrance into religion, his greatest consolation was in receiving Holy Communion. Towrad the end of his illness, he begged to be professed, a privilege which was granted him on August 15, 1846" SORIN MEMO
