"On the ship with the missionaries were five religious of the Sacred Heart, who were most kind to them. There was also a Sister of Providence, Sr. St. Francis Xavier, from Ruille-sur-Loire, who was on her way to join six of her Sisters at Terre Haute, where they had established a foundation a year previously. We may be sure that the daughter of Father Dujarie and the Brothers had some happy moments when the name of their Father Founder was the subject of conversation."
