RELIGIOUS

"Tridium for Ireland celebrated in Sacred Heart Church at Notre Dame,

April, 1847.

"Month of May...at evening all the members of the Institution and all the pupils assembled around the statue of (on) St. Mary's Island and there listened to an eloquent sermon by the Rev. M. E. Shawe. Preceded by a hymn and followed by night prayer.

"Every Friday at 6:00 p.m. the whole Community to meet in the Church to perform together the Way of the Cross, followed by a visit to the Blessed Sacrament. The other prayers recited at that hour by the Brothers will be omitted."
