ROBERT, BROTHER (Richard Zeller -- died March 19, 1933)

"Brother Robert was born in Somonauk, Illinois, Aug.. 25, 1875. In 1896, on the feast of the Assumption, he received the habit of the Brothers of Holy Cross and was professed five years later. Brother Robert's occupation as cook took him to most houses of the Community. Among his companions in religion he was admired for his religious observance and practice of virtue. While at Notre Dame Brother Robert became a victim of a painful glandular disease which he bore with patience and resignation that showed the depth of his virtue. Even though incapacitated, Brother kept up his work of cooking until 1927 when his superiors sent him to Sacred Heart Postulate, Watertown. His malady was of such a nature that death might overtake him at any moment. While enjoying the community recreation on the feast of St. Joseph, Brother Robert was called to his reward. Brother Robert died as he had lived."

-- Associate of St. Joseph. 3:2.
