His fiancee is the daughter of Felicite Duberne and Francisco Socie, son of Enrrique Socie and Barbara LaCroix. The father of his fiancee is dead; her mother is very poor and has 7 children. He has lived in her house since the death of his uncle. He asks for a dispensation so that the pastor of the aforesaid parish of St. Bernard of the Turn(?) where he has lived most recently may marry them.

Being in charge of the penances imposed on two cousins, inhabitants along the river, in his parish, Peleagonzalo informs (Penalver) that it is impossible for them to comply with the condition of working in the church two days each week for one month or to present themselves with a candle on feast days during Mass. Their house is 5 leagues from the church and they do not have animals with which to make the journey. They do not know anyone in the village where they could stay.
