Riordan, Archbishop P(atrick) W(illiam):
San Francisco, California
to Father Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C.:
Notre Dame, Indiana
Riordan thinks Hudson promised him another letter in reference to Bishop (Dennis J.) Dougherty. As Bishop (Denis Joseph) O'Connell leaves him within a few days for his new home Riordan is anxious to find someone to take his place. Riordan has written to Dougherty about the matter. They are just starting their work there for the great International Exposition of 1915 and their people are worked up about it. Riordan dislikes such affairs and does not take much interest in them. He knows that the reaction in Chicago that set in after the Fair was detrimental to the city. Riordan hopes to come East a week or so after Easter and will come down from Chicago to visit Hudson.

Tiernan, F(rances) C(hristine Fisher):
Salisbury, N(orth) C(arolina)
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
When will Hudson begin to print the first part of her Easter story and must it be a two-part story? The story is not yet finished and runs beyond that length. It could easily be expanded into a novel. Does Hudson want the story and when?
