Tiernan received Hudson's letter explaining the mistake in the check and the correct check which is quite liberal. She is back home again. Her sister who is suffering from nervous prostration is longing to return to the city, but is unable to keep herself.

Fraser, Mary C(rawford):
Spokane, Wash(ington)
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
Fraser hopes Hudson received her letter of June 28 with the answer to Father O'Donavan's question. If he has not she will copy the extract again for his correspondent in Baltimore. She asks Hudson to give his readers an extensive article on the Assumption of Our Lady which seems likely to be proclaimed a dogma. She only knows what Dom Gueranger has said about it. She will stop at Notre Dame on her way east if possible; it would be something to remember and she feels as if Marion would be with them.
