1917 Feb. 15
Keiley, Bishop Benj(amin) J.:
Savannah, G(eorgi)a
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
In Hudson's notes and remarks of the Feb.10 issue he refers to one of the many exhibitions of bigotry in Georgia, and Hudson's statement about the school question is not entirely exact. Keiley sends an extract from a letter sent to one of their papers on Oct. 23. The letter was written by the President of the Board of Education, Judge Samuel B. Adams. The Statements, unfortunately; did no good in abating the anti-Catholic bigotry so rampant in Georgia. (Extract glued to letter.)
