Atteridge, A. Hilliard:
Isleworth, (England)
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
No copies have reached them of the issue containing the seconds part of his article on "Pius VII and the Coronation of Napoleon." Hudson's notes on page 154 interests and puzzles him a little. It is wonderful how many of these unhistorical phrases there are. He once wrote an article on this subject which he called "Things they did not say." Nelson's signal is certainly historical. (A full description of Nelson's signal is given.)

Heuser, Father H(erman) J.:
Overbrook, P(ennsylvani)a
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
Heuser was delighted to have Hudson's letters and the Pentecostal Sequence of Samuel Speed. "Meeting a Peripatetic Unawares" struck his attention and he will reproduce it in the Ecclesiastical Review now that Hudson has given his permission. Heuser has been engaged by Longmans to write a biography of Canon (Patrick Augustine) Sheehan. Sheehan corresponded with men like Matthew Rupel and Oliver W. Holmes. Could Hudson give him a list of the pieces Sheehan wrote for him? This matter has delayed his proposed Life of Archbishop Ryan. He sends an article: "Mother Patricia Daldron."
