When Heuser saw the notice of Canon Sheehan's Life in the Ave Maria, he thought thoughts of gratitude. If Father Talbot Smith writes of the life, it will also be in praise. He notes what Hudson has to say of Judge Cartwright's decision in the Illinois Court, and Hudson's comments on the abuse of sacred objects. The subscription rate of "The Ecclesiastical Review" had to be increased, because the patronage is limited to the clergy who are scattered in separate zones.
