Safroni-Middleton, A.:
(London, England)
to Father Daniel E. Hudson, (C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
Safroni was delighted to receive the Ave Maria with his poem. He had an attack of rheumatic fever which laid him up for a long time. He has again taken up his pen to write a novel. He has another reminiscent book going the rounds of the publishers, but does not feel hopeful of it getting accepted.

Martindale, S.J., Father C(yril) C.:
Oxford, (England)
to Father (Daniel E. Hudson, C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
Martindale thanks Hudson for the review of R.P. Garrold. Most people did not care for it. He hopes Hudson will like Father Plater's life which is soon due and also his small series "Catholic Thought and Thinkers".

Walsh, Ja(me)s J.:
New York, (New York)
to Father (Daniel E.) Hudson, (C.S.C.):
(Notre Dame, Indiana)
Walsh thought Hudson might be interested in the enclosed (no enclosure) article on Takamine whom he has known for more than twenty years and his wife also but Walsh had no idea of his coming into the Church. But that always has been his experience with Japs. Walsh is in hot water over a series of articles on the disappearance of Irish families which have been appearing in America.
