Personal Papers, like Institutional Records, are not records of the Province proper, but belonged to individuals, mainly sisters, connected with the Province. These include diaries, travel journals, address books, diplomas and other personal documents, and correspondence. The musical compositions of sister composers have also been included with Personal Papers.

Print and Near Print material includes: 1) materials published or produced by the Congregation or the American Province of the Poor Handmaids for the use of the Province, such as the Constitutions, Rules or Statutes of the Congregation, Commentaries on the Constitutions, the Directories of the American Province, the Schematismus (membership directory) of the Congregation or the Province, liturgical Books and services, newsletters and periodicals; 2) published or printed material collected by the Province relating to the Congregation, the American Province or its institutions or sisters, including published annual reports, yearbooks, newsletters, pamphlets, brochures and other ephemera related to specific events such as anniversaries of the Congregation, the Province, or an institution or sister, articles and other printed material, whether published or not, concerning the history and activities of the Congregation, Province, its institiutions or sisters, including newspaper clippings; and 3) articles, books, theses and dissertations produced or published by sisters of the American Province.
