Correspondence (1892-1919), chiefly with Gilbert Francais, superior general of the congregation, concerning administration of the congregation in the U.S. (where Zahm was provinicial) and its persecution and legal dissolution in France (1901-1903); manuscripts of Zahm's writings, chiefly of his book Evolution and Dogma (1896) and diaries, mainly of his early life (1869 and undated). Includes correspondence with Theodore Roosevelt and his private secretary, Frank Harper, concerning Zahm's friendship with Roosevelt and expedition to South America with him (1904-1917).
