Ed Skillin with a short note to Zahn attatched to Steinfels' article ~ Just War Theory: A Question ~ 1-page essay concerning just war theory ~ Steinfels speaks of the evils of the Vietnam war and quotes Zahn saying that the war is not over until all the loose ends are tied up and the lesson is learned. Steinfels questions Zahn's position that a tribunal council should meet and try to retrospectively apply the just war theory (in order to ultimately prove the theory is outdated). He gives a summary of some of the involvements and activities of the church and asserts that the church has a right and even an obligation to use its influence in political affairs.
