Compares Waldheim and Jaegerstaetter, the man who followed orders and played Hitler's game and went on to become the President of Austria, and the peasant who stood up for what he believed in and refused to take part and was killed as a result.

Says an interesting encounter took place at an Austrian Studies affair at the University of Minnesota where he gave his "Limits of Obedience" talk. It was here that Dr. Dale E. Hammerschmidt told him that the GERMAN CATHOLICS AND HITLER'S WARS kept him in prison. Said his claim for conscientious objection status to the Vietnam War had been rejected because of the reason that "Catholics can not be COs".
