Brother Aidan's Extracts

DUPONT, MONSIEUR

(Sorin -- 1841) "Mr. L. Dupont was with us on the coach from Mans to Havre. He had volunteered to accompany us to the port and to arrange for our embarkation. We were intimate friends." (Dupont is perhaps better known as the 'Holy Man of Tours'). 1841

"He served us admirably for three days. Without him we might have found it impossible to take the sea. He was the last to shake hands with us several hours after the boat left the shore." Sorin, (from Le Mans to Vincennes it took 2 months and 6 days), 1841
