Brother Aidan's Extracts

VALATIE, NEW YORK

"During the summer Mrs. Margaret Brady Ferrell of Albany, New York, deeded to the Congregation a large farm and a beautiful home situated 15 miles to the south of Albany on the main road to New York City. His Excellency, Most Reverend Edmund F. Gibbons, Bishop of Albany, has gladly permitted us to establish on Mrs. Farrell's property an Eastern center for our Brothers' recruitment which is to be known as St. Joseph of Holy Cross. This new foundation is staffed by the following religious: Brother Donard, Director, Rev. John Whelly, Chaplain, and Brother Marcus and Armin.

"In Albany, New York, our Brothers are to take charge of St. Vincent's High School; the Faculty includes: Brother John Baptist, Director; Bros. Giles, Joel and Edmund." (1935)
