He is sending to Sedella a member of the parish (of Opelousas) of Father Josef de Arazena, (O.M.Cap.) who wished to marry a member of his (Velez') parish. As the groom is of a different parish he cannot marry the couple. the groom will also ask Sedella for a dispensation from fasting. He has heard that sixty barrels of wine have been taken from a French ship; if one belongs to him he would be very glad if Sedella would let him know. Asks to be remembered to (Joseph) Ortega and all his friends.
